God can change your life www.LifesGreatestQuestion.com Learn from this true life story How God can give you new hope
As computers and mobile devices become even more integrated into our lives, it is becoming easier and easier to talk to people you otherwise may not have met or been able to talk to in the past. This can lead to some sticky situations, especially if you are committed to someone else. As we use social media to connect with friends, family and old acquaintances and as we browse chat rooms and online forums, we may come across someone that we really click with. What happens when that 'click' becomes something more?
We don't mean for it to happen. We meet someone online, we get into a conversation, we start laughing, agreeing on things, playfully disagreeing on others and pretty soon a few hours have passed. You may not even know what this person looks like yet, but the banter is great and exciting and online conversations with this person always leave you wanting more.
Is this wrong? Some will say that getting into an emotional relationship with anyone who isn't your significant other is cheating. Of course there are many who disagree with that. How many of us have become close to a co-worker of the opposite sex, who we often spend more time with than our spouses or significant others? It's only when that relationship gets taken too far that things usually become a problem.
How to Avoid Problems
Today it's very common for people to send photos to one another online or through the mobile phone. This is fine if you are sending face or fully clothed body shots. But if you are sending cleavage shots, shots of your ripped abs, naked photos or even videos that may show you in a compromising position, that's when your significant other may see it as cheating.
But if you think about it, the two of you haven't touched physically. As long as you keep it in the online realm, isn't it pretty much just role play at this point? If it's exciting, who is it hurting? If you become so into this person online that you begin to neglect the person you're committed to, that's when it may become a huge problem.
But as long as you keep things online and you remain faithful to your significant other, then you should be able to talk to whoever you want online about any subject without feeling remorseful. And if your significant other goes through your browser history and catches you, well then you may have bigger problems than you think.
